Indians of All Tribes Scholarship Fund
Indians of All Tribes is a grassroots community organization established in 1969 as part of the American Indian student movement. The organization became widely recognized after the takeover and occupation of Alcatraz Island from November 1969 to June 1971.
As a student organization, IOAT sought to focus on issues that impacted American Indians such as education, cultural preservation, the environment, and empowerment of Indians peoples.
IOAT and the National Park Service recently celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the occupation of Alcatraz. Although the veterans of the occupation are no longer students, but elders, the committee still values education.
One of the goals of IOAT is to establish a scholarship fund for American Indian youth seeking assistance at the community college or state college level. An investment in education is an investment that pays dividends for the entire community. We are asking you to help us help others empower themselves by developing their talents and potential.
Please consider making a donation either monthly, or as a one-time gift. IOAT is proud to be fiscally sponsored by Amerinda, a 503c(3) non-profit organization, which means your gift is tax deductible.
